If you are looking to sell your house your realtor will probably give you tips on how to get your home ready to list. That will include staging (read a few ideas here) and getting images made to go on MLS, other online sites and for brochures. That’s where I come in.
Assuming you have already gotten it stage ready, here are some tips on how to get your house photo ready for it’s glamor session:
- Turn on all the lights, even your outside porch, deck and patio lights oh, and lamps too. Make sure all your bulbs are burning. Want to go one step further? Use daylight bulbs in all your overhead lighting.
- Open all your blinds. If you have slat blinds, drop all the way to the window sill, rotate slats completely horizontal (parallel to the floor). All curtains should be open as well. If you have retention roll blinds, bring those up to run even with the window locks (about middle should do just fine).
- Hide all recycling bins and trash cans, even ones in the bathroom. You can usually stash those in the garage.
- Close all toilet seat lids.
- Make sure all the debris is picked up from your yard; don’t forget if we can see under your deck, it will show up in the photographs.
If you follow these simple guidelines, you will be guaranteed beautiful images, that will catch buyer’s attention and get your house sold fast!
Welcome to my new real estate clients, I look forward to working with you and getting your listings sold.
Here is a sample from a session I did last week:
Today I photographed corporate portraits for the staff of Rhodey Construction. They needed to update some images for their website. I walked in and was warmly greeted by Cody; and I immediately felt at home. Soon after, Alvin came in and once he said ‘hello’ to Cody, he greeted me as well.
There is great research that says having pets at the office reduce stress and increases productivity. I believe that whole hardly (as I sit and type this, Jackson is laying beside me snoring and dreaming and that makes me happy). I think the entire crew at Rhodey Construction would agree too; there were a lot of happy, smiling people there in the office today. What a perfect way to spend the morning… photographing people and their office mates of the four legged kind!
Here is a pic of both Cody and Alvin. Adorable!
Know anyone that needs corporate portraits, including their office pets too? Please share my contact information, I’d love to create beautiful images for them as well!
My favorite weddings are the small, quaint weddings. Felicia and Steve had just that kind of wedding. They invited family and close friends and were married in Bnai Amoona’s chapel (and Chinese food for the reception, yum!). I have only been in the chapel a few times, but I love the light in there as much as I love the light in the Sanctuary.
I’m so happy they chose me to be a part of their big day!
Mazel Tov, F & S!
I’ll share a few of my favs….Ok more than a few!
It’s time for portraits and senior sessions!!!
April and May are great months for outside portraits. Let’s get you booked now!
Contact me and get your dates on the calendar.
This is what happens when you get busy, you get slack and forget to keep up with the blogging. So many places to share information; where should I chose to spend my time and energy? That is a hard question to answer. After all, I’m a photographer not a writer (or a marketer, for that matter).
So I’ll just stick to what I know…blogging when I can, always sending out a monthly newsletter, posting pics on Facebook and most importantly of all, taking care of my clients.
In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite images of beautiful people from my trip to Cuba.
If you’d like to see a slideshow of the whole trip; go check it out.
Now back to work I go.
2015 was a great year!
Here’s to 2016! Call now to book your date!
Whew, I have neglected my blog, mostly because I have been so busy. It’s a great excuse to have, if you ask me! But I didn’t want you to miss the bat mitzvah pics from Temple Israel that I have from early in the month.
Meet Jillian, the sweet, funny and very happy bat mitzvah young lady. I don’t photograph too many of the actual services but for Jillian I did. And I’m so glad I did. She was fabulous and the song her dad wrote and sang to her was just perfect. And when I say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, I am not exaggerating!
So enjoy a few images from Jillian’s bat mitzvah!
Later this month, I will be photographing Maggie’s bat mitzvah, so stay tuned for more pics.
