Do your office mates reduce your stress?

Today I photographed corporate portraits for the staff of  Rhodey Construction.  They needed to update some images for their website.  I walked in and was warmly greeted by Cody; and I immediately felt at home.  Soon after, Alvin came in and once he said ‘hello’ to Cody, he greeted me as well.

There is great research that says having pets at the office reduce stress and increases productivity.  I believe that whole hardly (as I sit and type this, Jackson is laying beside me snoring and dreaming and that makes me happy).  I think the entire crew at Rhodey Construction would agree too; there were a lot of happy, smiling people there in the office today.  What a perfect way to spend the morning… photographing people and their office mates of the four legged kind!

Here is a pic of both Cody and Alvin. Adorable!

Know anyone that needs corporate portraits, including their office pets too? Please share my contact information, I’d love to create beautiful images for them as well!

Just a few of my Favs

That was one hot morning! But the girls were so patient and gracious with their smiles.

What a sweet elopement this was.  Were we outside the Faust Park with Carolyn Burke, the Elopement Connoisseur.

Mark is a Senior this year! First time I photographed Mark, it was for his bar mitzvah, he wore his pet snake around his neck!

say Hello to Marie!

I first met Marie at a wedding.  That’s right, she walked down the aisle just like any other attendant at a wedding.  Marie is the bride’s seeing eye dog.  I’m not sure what makes a good seeing eye dog, but all I know is Marie is very sweet, social and obedient. So last week I got the chance to photograph her again.  She really is good at posing for sure; makes my job so easy.

I don’t know much about Yoga either, but Marie obviously does; she is showing off her skills for me.  Well after all, her mommy does teach yoga class and Marie goes with her to every class!

Enjoy the pics of Marie!

farm living is the life for me!

Who doesn’t love cows, chickens, cats and dogs? OK maybe lots of you. Who doesn’t love pics of cows, chickens, cats and dogs? Well I have some adorable cow images for you.  I hung out with these cows last Sunday.  They watched me closely, to see what exactly I was doing.  I watched them too, on the other side of the fence of course.  Hey, I didn’t want to get dirty.

Enjoy the images.

My trip home…

I just got back from visiting home.  I was able to see my family and have a great birthday celebration! It was like a small family reunion with cousins I hadn’t seen in a long time and my great aunt and uncle, who are in their late 80’s and 90’s and still enjoying life and of course our favorite pizza…Sir Pizza!

While I was home I got to squeeze in a portrait session in the Raleigh Durham area. Hannah was so much fun.  She is one happy little girl.  She woke up ready to smile for the camera. She loved seeing her images on the back of the camera too.  I was going to share a few of my favorite images but I couldn’t choose just one or two so I made you a slideshow instead.  Enjoy!

If you or anyone you know needs a photographer in the North Carolina, please share my information with them.

Sarah and Jen get married!

This month I was able to photograph my first “LEGAL”, Missouri same sex marriage.  It is heartwarming to see this finally coming to fruition.  I had not met the couple until their big day because they are from out of town.  Jen is stationed in Belgium and Sarah will be going home with her new wife tomorrow.  It’s so wonderful to see two people who love each other being able to get married!  Their family and friends were excited and happy to be there too.  The wedding and reception was held at Spazio’s in Westport Plaza (way to go Spazio!) and it was officiated by the one and only, Carolyn Burke!

Enjoy a few images from Sarah and Jen’s special day.  If you’re looking for a wedding photographer contact me and let’s talk about your big day!  If you’re looking for a wedding liaison, contact Carolyn Burke.

Thoughtfully Dressed…

Need help deciding what to wear for your family portrait, your daughter’s wedding and your son’s bat mitzvah.  Krissi can help!  She can help you buy new clothes or use the ones you have so that the whole family is coordinated. That is that she did for the Hopping family.  And they look awesome! She took pieces they already had in their closet and matched them so that the colors in our portrait session flowed nicely.  Everyone got to maintain a bit of themselves, yet there were no clashing colors.  Nate is a bow tie man, and Eleonore, she loves whales; so of course they wanted to wear something that represented who they are as individuals.  They were able to do just that with Krissi’s help!  I can’t wait to work with her again; she helped make our session a huge visual success!

Meredith, Nate, Eleonore and Francesca…

Family portraits are one of my favorites and perfect for a Mother’s Day weekend gig. The Hoppings are a beautiful family. I’m not talking about outer beauty, I’m talking inner beauty here. They LOVE G_d! And the best part, they seem to love every person they meet too. They are kind, sincere and compassionate people…Oh and man, can they sing!

Eleonore cracked me up with her ‘say cheese, say peas and carrots’. She is going to keep everyone laughing, I can tell. Her sister Frankie, well she doesn’t need Elie’s help with anything right now but I’m betting they are going to be very close sisters.

I truly enjoyed the short time we spent together. I love the photographs too. I am having a hard time deciding which ones I like best…

If you like their pics, let em’ know. Leave a comment on the blog.  And if you want a family portrait session too, contact me to set up your appointment. As a matter of fact I have one opening left for next Sunday at 4:00.

Pet Portraits

We love our pets! And often they are forgotten when it’s time for a family portrait sessions. But we went one step better…their very own portrait session. Check out my sister’s pups, Simon and Lola. They are adorable and a huge part of the family. They are very much loved!

So contact me for you pet’s portrait session. We photograph dogs, cats, birds, horses, chickens, goats, well you get my drift.
