Cowboy Wedding

I was asked to photograph a wedding for a photography company in St. Charles.  I hadn’t met the couple or even talked to them until I arrived at the cute little church in Wright City MO.  I met Heather and Tyler that afternoon.  And soon after, they walked down the aisle to say “I do”.

We had torrential down pour all day but we were able to get some great images in anyway!  We spent some time in a barn where we could stay dry and we also spent time at Tyler’s farm with the tractors.

Check out a few of my favorite images of the day.

Sarah and Jen get married!

This month I was able to photograph my first “LEGAL”, Missouri same sex marriage.  It is heartwarming to see this finally coming to fruition.  I had not met the couple until their big day because they are from out of town.  Jen is stationed in Belgium and Sarah will be going home with her new wife tomorrow.  It’s so wonderful to see two people who love each other being able to get married!  Their family and friends were excited and happy to be there too.  The wedding and reception was held at Spazio’s in Westport Plaza (way to go Spazio!) and it was officiated by the one and only, Carolyn Burke!

Enjoy a few images from Sarah and Jen’s special day.  If you’re looking for a wedding photographer contact me and let’s talk about your big day!  If you’re looking for a wedding liaison, contact Carolyn Burke.

Natasha and Brad get Married!

It had been raining for a week, and cold too so when it was sunny and fairly warm for Natasha and Brad’s wedding day, everyone was happy!  They picked the Hawken House in Kirkwood to say their I do’s. Natasha and her mom did all the decorations and the place looked amazing.  As did the bride and her groom!

I love the small intimate weddings.  Enjoy some of my favorite pics from their wedding.  Do you need a wedding photographer? Contact me, let’s chat.

Lots of Weddings

I have been photographing lots of weddings over the last few months.  I have two more this weekend and 2 more for the month of October.  Those who know me, know I love weddings.

I have been second shooting for a friend and also a lead shooter for a husband and wife team out of St. Charles.  But today KFP will photograph the daughter of one of my favorite professors at Webster University.  Saturday, I will work with Marie at a wedding in Soulard.  It’s a big, fun weekend.

If you have friends or family who need a wedding photographer, have them contact me.  I’m booking now for 2015 and 2016.  I am almost completely booked with weddings and mitzvahs through March 2015.

Enjoy a few images from the weddings so far this month.

Throw Back Thursday!

As I was thinking back to all the weddings I have been lucky enough to photograph, Lynne and Bruce came to mind.  I met with them before the wedding to talk details; I knew immediately they were the real deal.  After all they had been ‘dating’ for years and still very much in love.  They were two of the most ginuine people I had met.  And I became very fond of both of them.

So it was no big surprise that come the big day, the wedding was not only beautiful but it was a blast.  They were so happy, it was hard to make a bad image.  Here is their wedding album.  Enjoy this throw back thursday!

Small Intimate Wedding

Although I hadn’t even met the couple before their big day, Michelle and Khaled were like old friends.  They were fun, relaxed and my favorite, traditional.  They wanted all the classic poses and groupings that included their parents and wedding party.  I tried to get them to each hold one of their chickens, but they declined; something about getting the dress and suit dirty.  Small details!  The wedding took place in their own backyard and then a small reception at Ameristar Casino Resort in St. Charles. Enjoy a few images from Michelle and Khaled’s wedding day.

Check out my new gif file too. Isn’t it cool!?  If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please contact me!

Perfect Weather for a Wedding

Once again I had the pleasure of working with Carolyn Burke of Elopement in St. Louis.  Jamie and Ashley, the lovely couple wanted to be married in St. Louis.  So we went to Tower Grove Park .  Jamie and Ashley picked the area around the ruins for the ceremony.  As always Carolyn was able to bring out some laughs and of course big smiles and good ole’ heart swells!  While Jamie’s folks ran back to get the forgotten marriage license (oops), I was able to spend a little extra time with the newly weds.  We had a great photo session…the photographs are spectacular; Jamie and Ashley were a fun loving, photogenic couple!  They truly made my job easy.  Enjoy the pics.  Leave a comment letting Jamie and Ashley know how much you love their wedding pics.  If you have an upcoming wedding, contact me to secure your date.

Spring Weddings

Spring brings warm weather and buds and blooms and lots of outdoor weddings.  Weddings just like Kelly and Daniel’s elopement wedding.  I got to work with Carolyn of Elope in St. Louis and the Wedding Liaison; we had a blast, as usual.  The weather was perfect and so were Kelly and Daniel.  They chose to get married downtown at the CityGarden where Daniel proposed to Kelly.  They picked a lovely little spot where Carolyn directed the exchange of their vows.  After the ceremony we took a few pics in the gardens and of course, some with the arch in the background.  Daniel and Kelly brought their mom and dad to share in the festivities; they were a wonderfully fun, sweet family!  Enjoy a few of our favorite picks.

Leave them a comment and let them know how much you love their wedding pics. And hey, share this blog with your friends.

If your planning a wedding, contact me now and let’s get you scheduled; my dates move fast and you don’t want your date to get gone!  If you need help planning your wedding, finding a officiant, contact Carolyn Burke.

Weddings, Weddings and more Weddings

It was the hottest day of the year, here in STL and I was helping Denise photograph a wedding…OUTSIDE. I think I drank more water and Gatorade in that one day then I did all summer.  But it was worth it. The bride and groom did just great and never broke a sweat although I do not know how.

I have been lucky; this year I was able to work with several different photographers to “second shoot” some weddings.  I really enjoy helping out because it gives me the chance to see other photogs in action as well as allowing me to focus on the candid and details, which I love so much.  Plus I was able to go to several new places such as The New Town Chapel, which was a wonderful place for a wedding.  I was introduced to the Old Town Chapel in Florissant MO, where I met one of the most humorous ministers around who had a knack for a beautiful and powerful message about marriage. I also photographed at Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church, where we had awesome courtyards with fountains and stain glass, we even beat the rain on that day…but just barely.

Enjoy a few pics from the different weddings. And remember, Kristi Foster Photography books a limited number of weddings each year so make sure you call or email me now to book your 2014 or 2015 date.

Sweetest Couple Ever {St. Louis Intimate Wedding Photographer}

OK, everyone has been asking about my older couple’s wedding.  I was asked by a friend to photograph a small intimate wedding at a home in Town and Country.  Of course I said yes.

The back story I was given is as follows:  Bev went to work for Charles right out of school; she was his assistant.  Not long after she started he said to her, “you know, you’re a smart cookie, you should go back to school”.  And she did.  She went from his assistant to a lawyer and they worked together side by side for many years.  Then they opened up their own law firm and became partners. All the while Bev became great friends to Charles and his wife.  They even lived next door to one another.  They really were all best friends.  Then several years ago Charles’ wife got ill and so both Bev and Charles rallied together to care for her.  She died 2 years ago and Bev and Charles remained best friends.  So what do best friends do? They get married and live happily ever after. THE END!

All you have to do is look at their smiles to know… there is love!
