Cowboy Wedding

I was asked to photograph a wedding for a photography company in St. Charles.  I hadn’t met the couple or even talked to them until I arrived at the cute little church in Wright City MO.  I met Heather and Tyler that afternoon.  And soon after, they walked down the aisle to say “I do”.

We had torrential down pour all day but we were able to get some great images in anyway!  We spent some time in a barn where we could stay dry and we also spent time at Tyler’s farm with the tractors.

Check out a few of my favorite images of the day.

If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding contact me today….let’s get you on my calendar.  I still have a few open dates for 2015.

Spring Time

I kicked off spring with two bar mitzvahs in the month of March.  Mitzvahs are one of my favorite simchas to photograph…and no it’s not because I get to go to Demolition Ball, well OK, maybe just a little. One of the great things about Ethan’s bar mitzvah is I got to spend time with his family again.  Talk about three awesome kids!  We were at B’nai Amoona on Friday morning for the formals and then off to Demolition Ball on Saturday for his party.  We had a a blast…check out a few of his pics.

Later in March I went to CRC for Ryan’s bar mitzvah.  I photographed his formals before the service, capturing a lot of wonderful images of the family.  They were so easy to work with; big smiles from everyone, including his great Grandma (she doesn’t even look old enough to be a great grandma)!  I truly enjoyed getting to know Ryan and his family.  Ryan had his party at Westbrook Country Club where I got to work with my favorite DJ, Rick Paul.  The kids had a great time too!  Here are some of Ryan’s images.

Do you have a special event? Contact me, I want to be your photographer.

My trip home…

I just got back from visiting home.  I was able to see my family and have a great birthday celebration! It was like a small family reunion with cousins I hadn’t seen in a long time and my great aunt and uncle, who are in their late 80’s and 90’s and still enjoying life and of course our favorite pizza…Sir Pizza!

While I was home I got to squeeze in a portrait session in the Raleigh Durham area. Hannah was so much fun.  She is one happy little girl.  She woke up ready to smile for the camera. She loved seeing her images on the back of the camera too.  I was going to share a few of my favorite images but I couldn’t choose just one or two so I made you a slideshow instead.  Enjoy!

If you or anyone you know needs a photographer in the North Carolina, please share my information with them.

Sarah’s Bat Mitzvah

I  photographed my first bat mitzvah of 2015 for Sarah at CRC, and then we were off to the City Museum for her party.  What a great way to start the year!  We met up for the formals a little before the service….this family followed the directions and they were all there early and ready to go.  They were so ready that we completed all the formal images quickly, and with extra time to spare.  I don’t get to say that very often.  Sarah was a bit nervous but once she got on the bimah and began the service she was relaxed, confident and did a fabulous job.  Mazel Tov Sarah!

Check out a few of the pics from the day.

Sarah and Jen get married!

This month I was able to photograph my first “LEGAL”, Missouri same sex marriage.  It is heartwarming to see this finally coming to fruition.  I had not met the couple until their big day because they are from out of town.  Jen is stationed in Belgium and Sarah will be going home with her new wife tomorrow.  It’s so wonderful to see two people who love each other being able to get married!  Their family and friends were excited and happy to be there too.  The wedding and reception was held at Spazio’s in Westport Plaza (way to go Spazio!) and it was officiated by the one and only, Carolyn Burke!

Enjoy a few images from Sarah and Jen’s special day.  If you’re looking for a wedding photographer contact me and let’s talk about your big day!  If you’re looking for a wedding liaison, contact Carolyn Burke.

Finally getting to my blog….

Well I have let another month get away from me.  My only excuse? I’m been busy.  Which is great.  I spent this month photographing some weddings, some mitzvahs and a senior portrait.  I hope you enjoy looking at a few of my favorites.

I am still taking bookings for 2015 and 2016 weddings and mitzvahs so please share my name with your friends.

Natasha and Brad get Married!

It had been raining for a week, and cold too so when it was sunny and fairly warm for Natasha and Brad’s wedding day, everyone was happy!  They picked the Hawken House in Kirkwood to say their I do’s. Natasha and her mom did all the decorations and the place looked amazing.  As did the bride and her groom!

I love the small intimate weddings.  Enjoy some of my favorite pics from their wedding.  Do you need a wedding photographer? Contact me, let’s chat.

Lots of Weddings

I have been photographing lots of weddings over the last few months.  I have two more this weekend and 2 more for the month of October.  Those who know me, know I love weddings.

I have been second shooting for a friend and also a lead shooter for a husband and wife team out of St. Charles.  But today KFP will photograph the daughter of one of my favorite professors at Webster University.  Saturday, I will work with Marie at a wedding in Soulard.  It’s a big, fun weekend.

If you have friends or family who need a wedding photographer, have them contact me.  I’m booking now for 2015 and 2016.  I am almost completely booked with weddings and mitzvahs through March 2015.

Enjoy a few images from the weddings so far this month.

Throw Back Thursday!

As I was thinking back to all the weddings I have been lucky enough to photograph, Lynne and Bruce came to mind.  I met with them before the wedding to talk details; I knew immediately they were the real deal.  After all they had been ‘dating’ for years and still very much in love.  They were two of the most ginuine people I had met.  And I became very fond of both of them.

So it was no big surprise that come the big day, the wedding was not only beautiful but it was a blast.  They were so happy, it was hard to make a bad image.  Here is their wedding album.  Enjoy this throw back thursday!

Senior Portrait Session

I couldn’t believe it when Laurie emailed me and asked if I could photograph Rachel’s senior portrait…when did that happen? It seems like just yesterday I photographed her bat mitzvah.  We decided to meet at Faust Park.  And well, it was one of the hottest days of the year.  While I was sweating bullets, Rachel was calm and cool.  She made my job easy with her posing and smiles…and her fun ideas of course.  Since Rachel plays the Viola, she brought it along too.  Now that I think about it, I should have had her play me a song or two.

Enjoy the images of Rachel’s and stay tuned for the other Berwald sisters, they will be coming close behind.
